4/19/2022 0 Comments Adobe rushI have been obsessed with using Adobe Rush on my iPad recently. When I’m on-site, I don’t have the proper environment to leisurely create marketing content but, I always take a ton of videos to piece together later. I initially was jumping to on-platform editing tools like Instagram Reels but realized my mind was so wired to Premiere or an editing software like it. I remembered using Adobe’s Rush once before in a troubleshoot attempt & so I opened up the app and selected all of the videos I had from our Miami, FL pack. Within no time, I had my video completed with Music, Sound Effects, Title Graphics, Transitions, & was ready to post! Here is another video I executed using Adobe Rush

3/17/2022 0 Comments A new erA? A psychic medium once told me that my grandpa would visit me in the form of bunnies… true story! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today, I am spending my office day feeling a little tired from last night’s late night inspiration. I’ve been on an absolute role with updating my content across platforms and keeping up with the multiple ponds I’ve dipped my toes in. I spent time journaling to develop myself both artistically and professionally. I have a few personas that exist under the Umbrella of ‘ROBIN’. I wanted to separate my identities between ‘Robin the Singer’ to ‘Productions by Robin’ and ‘Robin at Eagle’ all while keeping the common denominators of my Brand at the core. As I look into the future, I see myself pursuing the magic of production to various capacities. I’m really happy with these new graphics just to keep things fresh and exciting. It has also given me an opportunity to reflect on progress from my @_PICSBYROB instagram, my @RobinAtEagle instagram, and even my www.ROBINPURTELL.com site. I’m proud of my younger self for taking the initiative to start these endeavors as they’ve paid off for future me. This is a theme I’ve tried to carry into my latest work- futuristic, psychic, all-knowing vibes- which are extremely comforting to me.
3/14/2022 0 Comments Long Time, No SeeInstead of being frustrated about my lack of consistency in this blog portion of my website, I am going to be grateful for the present moment and that I have the time right now. Even if it’s only a 5 minute rant- it’s producing content! 2021 was excellent & truly life changing. I attacked the production world and scored an amazing contract with Eagle Production Company as a Production Manager and Chief Human Resource Officer. The team there is incredibly passionate and talented so these past nine months have been an incredible learning intensive. I’ve grown my audience, taken on leadership roles, and implemented crucial systems in scheduling, billing, and logistics. It all sounds so fancy and professional compared to the young, naive woman I was last year. Less than one year ago, I knew I wanted more in my field. I just kept chasing and being persistent- showing up- and shortly into the mission, I connected with Eagle Production Company. Since then, I’ve been in business development work mode and work has become a happy, extra limb to my body. Isn’t making money while exercising your creative muscle an amazing gift?

I know this because it is marked on my calendar from Ban.do. This company is my favorite for planners, calendars, and anything office related like that. They include the most beautiful graphics and illustrations by mostly female artists. I recently bought Give Yourself Margin as well as How Are You Feeling? from their website. The first is a "guide to rediscovering and reconnecting with your creative self" and the second is a mental health binder focusing on "a more holistic approach to wellness". These purchases were to comply with Phase 2 of the 2021 page turn to better my life. Quarantine threw me off of my creative path in a lot of ways and the first book has really been helping me connect to my inner artist and remind me of my intentions. The binder has been a really great medium for focusing myself and my life. With this positivity and inspiration, the universe has been paying me back with new opportunities! Lately, I have had a packed schedule. I have been focusing on Photography and Videography specifically. To keep up with professionalism, it was time to take the next step to my videography packages. I purchased my first drone! Adding Aerial Photography to my skill set is something I am really proud of. It feels good to be so content about a decision and I am very happy with the quality. The morning after it arrived, I woke up and went to the beach for Sunrise. Below are some pictures I took using the drone as well as a new mount for stabilizing and control for wedding videography! Cheers to this 2021 kickoff to videography! 1/1/2021 0 Comments Happy New YearLeaving the year of 2020 meant reflecting on the year of 2020, and I still haven't found the words to describe what I feel. The year left me speechless and not in a positive way. I wasn't sure how to move forward because so many of these issues do not resolve with the new year. I decided I was going to set some ground rules for 2021. I wouldn't say this includes some resolutions per se but, guidelines to improving life rather. I have been saving money and decided to invest in some new camera equipment, beneficial mental health resources, and myself. Starting from the latter, my hair has always been significant to me. Usually sported at one consistent length- right down to my butt! Maybe it was quarantine, maybe it was the numerous cult documentaries I'd been watching but, my hair was starting to feel like an extra, unneeded layer of skin. Since matching my headshot isn't of utmost importance, I saw the opportunity to play with color. It might not seem like a huge chop, but this hair transformation was a much needed change to kick off 2021. I went to a real salon instead of the usual super cuts and had a fabulous time. As someone who takes Covid-19 precautions very seriously, this trip was out of my comfort zone. Upon arrival, I was put to ease by the extreme distancing of clients, mask compliance, and overall plexiglass precautions. Lock and Shade located in Asbury Park, NJ made me feel comfortable and safe enough to enjoy some pampering. What I learned from this first step into 2021, investing in your self worth and confidence makes an impact in your daily life. Before and After pictures below!
